We hope to see you soon.  Below are important “need to know” information prior to booking your reservation:

• The preferred payment method for a rental stay at Vieux Carre' is via the prepared invoice, which will be more accurate and itemized. Payments may also be made via the website, Zelle, Apple Pay, or Paypal. Once a rental reservation agreement is made between Vieux Carre’ and the client, an invoice is emailed to the party interested in renting and a secured payment may be made directly through the invoice.

• Payments are due in full at booking. 

• Payment plans are available for reservations made at least 60 days prior to the proposed reservation date.

• Final payments must be made at least 30 days prior to the reservation date. If final payment is not made at least 30 days prior to the reservation date the entire booking/reservation maybe forfeited, and no refunds will be issued.

• There is a 10%, non-refundable service charge fee to establish a payment plan.

• Cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 100% refund minus service fees for cancellations made 30 days or more in advance

  • 50% refund for cancellations made at least 14 days in advance

  • No refund for cancellations made less than 14 days of reservation date

  • Other fees that may apply to property reservations (non-refundable):

  • Service & Cleaning fee- $150 The Vieux Home

  • Service & Cleaning fee- $30 A Vieux cabin

  • Pet fee- $150   (extra deposit may be required)

  • Pet fee- $80 for cabins - only small pets are allowed in the cabins,

• Any guest found to have a pet on site, that was not included in the registration/reservation will be asked to leave the grounds (check out) without a refund of any type or amount.

• RENTERS ARE PROHIBITED FROM BRINGING LARGE EQUIPMENT ONTO THE PROPERTY THAT UTILIZES EXTRA UTILITY SERVICES.  No water slides of any kind are allowed by renters on the property.

•  ANY CLIENT NOTED TO HAVE A WATER SLIDE ON THE PROPERTY WILL FORFEIT THE REMAINDER OF THEIR RENTAL AND WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY AND NO REFUND WILL BE GRANTED.

• ALL EVENTS MUST BE PRE-APPROVED-  Any special occasions will require approval prior to booking; special occasions include family reunions, weddings & receptions, funeral re-past, a special party, or other event that will include persons other than those staying in the home during the rental period.  Any guest found to be in violation of this policy will be asked to check out immediately, with no refunds granted.

• There is an additional upcharge for holiday stays, as well as for an event during a regular stay.

• There is a minimal 2-day rental for vieux carre' home; no minimal stay for a cabin.

• Minimum age to rent is 25 years.

• Check-in after 3 PM; Check-out 11 AM.

• Failure to check out at the designated check out time will result in additional charges on a pro-rated basis.

• No smoking permitted inside any of the Vieux’s facilities/homes; smoking is allowed in permitted designated areas outdoors.  A smoking/cleaning fee will be charge if someone smokes inside.

• Vieux Carre’ is not responsible for any contents that may be left inside the rental client’s car, or a facility.

• It is the expectation that the rental facilities/home, will be left in similar/good condition upon check out. If the home is left with extreme filth, broken merchandise or furniture, or missing items the renting tenant will be responsible for additional charges for such.  Vieux Carre' has the right to charge your card for incidentals up to $250 based on the damages that incurred..

• Excess trash must be taken outside and placed inside the garbage bin. If the outside bins are full, please leave bagged trash on the back porch or inside and not on the ground outside by the garbage bins.

• The renting client will be held responsible for the actions of persons in their party.

• Prior approval must be granted by administration if an event or party will be held on the property.

• Guests staying for 3 nights or longer shall be responsible for replenishing their own linen/towels by utilizing the washer/dryer.

• Guest should reach out to their host for any problems, concerns, or questions.

• The Vieux book is left inside the home for guest important information.

• A guest or member of the guest/renter's party, who violates any rules may be asked to leave the premises and check out early; a refund will not be issued.

• Any individual who has been asked to leave the premises once, will not be allowed to return to the property; this will be considered trespassing.

• The outdoor grounds are under continuous surveillance; footage of such may be used for discovery as necessary as permitted by law.

• The items in the Vieux Home’s Corner Market, and Back Porch Bar are for sale only; therefore, the items should be paid for on the website prior to check out, or by cash on site, by leaving the cash in the yellow envelope and place in black box. Please note that any items removed from the store that are not paid for during the stay will be charged to the renting guest’s charge card along with a 20% service fee (20% of corner market items consumed or removed from the shelf).

• ​All rental clients must agree to the rental terms as a condition to rent with Vieux Carre’.
